How to Deep-Fry Oreos At Home?
It’s quite difficult to find a snack as oozy and gooey as a deep-fried Oreo. Use Crumb’s Oreos mix and you’ll never have to take the fuss of collecting ingredients or assembling them. All you need to purchase is the pack of Oreo, Crumbs mix and the toppings of your choice. Takes a very less time to prepare, probably 10 minutes only and even less to cook. So let’s get started.
- Heat 1 cup of oil in a deep-fryer. Heat it to 300 degrees Fahrenheit over medium heat.
- Stir Crumbs deep-fried mix and water in a bowl until a smooth paste is made. Avoid putting too much water as it will make a thin paste that will drip right off the Oreo.
- Dip Oreos into the batter one after the other, take them off with a fork or a tong and put them straight to the oil.
- Do not put all the Oreos in a single batch. Give them some space and put them in a batch of 7 or 8 for at least 2 minutes until they turn light brown.
- Drain them on a paper towel and coat them in powdered sugar or you can even serve them with dollops of blueberry jam or ice cream.
Does deeply-fried Oreos get Soggy?
Well, to be honest, they do get soggy and mushy if kept for a long time or until the next day as the moisture gets stuck in the batter. However, if not eaten right away they will lose the crisp and will ultimately get soggy. To let moisture escape, you can keep them in an airtight container or can even place it in a refrigerator up to 72 hours. If any of the mentioned ideas still doesn’t work, you can simply place it in the oven for a minute or two to get back that taste and crunch.
